2025 Goals For My Blog
Planning out the year.
Happy New Year! I’ve been writing about music for several years now, and that’s definitely going to continue in 2025. I’d like to expand my use of this blog, though, and I’ve been thinking through things I’d like to do to make this the best showcase of my writing abilities.
Weekly Album Reviews
Instead of waiting until the end of the month to give a review of what albums I’ve listened to lately, I’d like to post them as soon as I’ve listened to them. So hopefully you’ll be seeing a lot more standalone reviews of albums, both new and old, throughout this year and beyond. I’m not forgetting about the monthly recaps though…
Monthly Music Recaps
At the end of any month, I’ll still post a recap of everything from the month, including albums, songs, classics, vinyl and more, but they’ll be full of links to previous album reviews and whatever else I’ve talked about that month. Perhaps they’ll include more video and talking elements? I’d like to do more on-camera things this year…
Concert Reviews
I go to a few concerts each year and take a ton of pictures and videos I never end up putting anywhere. Seems like a pretty easy thing to recap here, especially since I’ve never been to a concert I haven’t liked! Maybe I’ll do some retro reviews of past concerts I’ve attended.
Re-Posting Old Lists
This is already in the works! I’ll be re-posting my previous Best Of lists from 2022, 2021, and 2020 on here for posterity’s sake. No changes, just moving everything over from the old websites I used to make them on. Starting the first full week of January, you’ll see the 2022 lists get posted, followed by the 2021 lists the following week, and the 2020 lists after that. Then…
Best of the Decade (So Far) Lists
That’s right, we’re halfway through the 2020’s already (ugh), so it’s time to compile the best songs, albums and more from the first half of the decade. These will be going up towards the end of January, starting on the 27th and going through the 30th. I better get to work on those!
If anything else comes to mind, I’ll maybe add it to this article, or make a completely new one. But the bottom line is, you’ll see more posts on this website from yours truly. I love writing and want to do so more, so this will be the place to be if you’ve ever enjoyed anything you’ve read from me! Or if you’re family/friends that check it out because you feel like you have to. Either one works. Until next time!
