SONG REVIEW: Turnstile - "NEVER ENOUGH"
It's definitely enough.
No one will ever make a hardcore album as melodious as Turnstile’s 2021 masterpiece GLOW ON. But don’t tell that to Turnstile. They’re back at it again on their first new song since releasing their masterpiece, and “NEVER ENOUGH” continues along the path of finding beauty in the abrasive. Brendan Yates’ voice never rises above a yearn, pondering his place in life as the synths glisten around him. The expected blast of guitars and drums does come, but they’re more content than ever to drift along in this sea of change. The long instrumental outro hints at more contemplation to come, and it’s another delicious taste of an unexpected mixture I never knew I needed but now can’t go without.
Verdict: Fantastic/10
